Our Ordeals are held at Camp Boddie on East Carolina Scout Reservation.  We hold three Ordeals each year on the third full weekend of March, May, and October. See registration deadlines in the "upcoming events" page of this website. You have 18 months from your election date to complete your Ordeal.  After that year if you have not attended an Ordeal you will need to be re-elected to attend

ITEMS NEEDED FOR A SUCCESSFUL ORDEAL

Friday Night - Work Clothes - Sleeping Bag - Large Ground Cloth - Work Gloves - Pocket Knife -  Water Bottle - Flashlight. It is easier if all of this gear is in a small backpack. Do not wear your Class A on Friday night (bring it with you for Saturday). To ensure a successful Ordeal look at the forecast and dress for the weather (warm clothes, rain jacket, etc.)

Saturday Evening - Class A uniform - Shower Gear - Tent - Anything else you can think of. (Electronic devices are discouraged for use during your Ordeal as they may take away from the experience.  We suggest that if you bring any, you should put them in your second bag for Saturday)
